eco-friendly
(dual meaning; ecology - economy)
The term “eco-friendly” is used to describe activities which are good for the environment. It is the abbreviated words for “ecologically friendly,” and you may also hear terms like “environmentally friendly” or “green” used as well. There are a range of ways in which activities can be eco-friendly, ranging from products which are constructed in an environmentally friendly way to making lifestyle changes which are designed to benefit the environment.
Buying equipment consumables from your local community store is the highest level of eco-friendly, it causes the lowest carbon footprint of any current method. We will explain more in the coming months.
The term “eco-friendly” can also be used to describe activities which are good for the economy. economy-friendly. There are a range of ways in which activities can be economy-friendly, the reuse of a product almost always cost less to produce simply because there is less to produce when reusing a product. When consumers pay less for an equivalent product, then their personal economy wins.
It's also the highest level for the economy, buying from your local community store keeps more of the profits in the local community, buying local is a great example of economy-friendly consumption.
